Oil filter access - lower fairing split ?

Hey guys,
I've read that it's possible to access the oil filter by just splitting the lower fairing & spreading.

Does anyone use this method ?

Any tips on what to remove for this method would be appreciated as i'm not confident about taking the whole RH fairing off after reading some of the stories about breaking tabs etc.
If there's a way to stuff it up i'll find it

Alternatively, if anyone in the Goldy/ Bris area is prepared to help out & give me a few pointers, i'm happy to come to you.
