VIC speed camera policy is a joke. Went around Melbourne couple months back and was stunned how sneaky they are. In Canberra they are ensconsed in dirty great big white vans, so if you get caught you are unlucky and unobservant.
I think I might invest in a little overlay for my numberplate, just have to work out how to get it off quietly if I get pulled over.
If smoking is legal and taxed, then can we just pay a yearly speeding tax? Drove my car to grandparents farm years ago, 1800km round trip, got a speeding fine of $180 on the way back. Felt that 10c a km was quite reasonable as I hadn't done the speed limit the whole way.
