GSXR 1000 wont start

i had that happen to my k7 gsxr1000 a couple of weeks ago, but my battery was completly dead and wouldnt hold a charge, and even with power running to the battery it still made the clicking sound, so i put in my busa battery just to try it and it fired up straight away, because when i charged the gsxr battery the charger said it was fully charged but it wasnt, hope that helps, might just need a new battery
