Yeah I know I should be further forward but thats not the main problem mid track on seems to be the issue. Im running stock gearing at the moment but have run 43 and then -1 on the front both were slower with a propensity to lift the front too much. Have not thought about 38 on the rear but will buy one tomorrow and give it a try. At the moment I change into fourth just before the line so the lower gearing may help.
I got a new qualifying slick for the right price to have a bit of fun with and am really impressed with it. Given a bit of heat it grips really well and is much cheaper than a road tyre. It helps that I live near the creek so I can ride it down with the slick fitted without too much risk of being caught. Bruce
