Opinions on Wet Weather Gear

I highly recommend the Frogg Toggs for breath-ability and waterproofing - be it the best combination of both that I've found so far. They have updated the line to include several different options. My only complaint from wearing them on a sport-bike was the original designs "billowing" at speed, not that it ever interfered with my riding, but, the constant push-pull, buffeting, etc. was a bit annoying after the first few kilometers.

First Gear has always made good quality stuff as well, but, some of their offerings - though definitely 100% waterproof - offer little or no breath-ability meaning that you are just as wet from perspiration by the time you reach your destination as if you hadn't a stitch of rain gear on during the downpour.

Best of luck in your search.
