Running Hot??

Hi. I have had a spell from Sports bikes, and can't remember how hot a full faired bike should feel. I get a lot of hot air on my lower legs and the bike smells a little hot after a hard ride. The guage is usually just under halfway, and no sign of overheating to the point of damage, ( I hope). Just wondering do Busa's tend to feel hot after a ride?, and should the thermofan kick in often. Mine has only ever ran once that I can remember, and that was only for a short time. cheers tim

Mine is the same mate, temp gauge sits just below half way. My thermo fans have kicked in once (that I have noticed) in over 12 months of owning it (mine's a 2001) and I was stuck in traffic on a bloody hot day .. temp gauge went just over half.
