I use silver bait.
- infact, I'll be fishing tonight.

It's called silver bait - but these days it's usually gold or folding.

Fairly easy to use and seldom fails - go to fish and chip shop, hand over bait, pick out fish.

for surf - I live inland so my surf rod and reel are a home for spiders.

10 ft rod, heavy sinkers, depending on sets, I put sinker at end of line, 2x hooks

I was thinking the exact same thing. As we are all time poor these days we might as well cut out the unnecesary middle steps!
