Oggy Knobbs

The biggest problem with "knobs" is that they concentrate the impact directly onto one point wheras with out them the impact is spread over a much larger broader area. The result is that a drop from a side stand they will maybe save your fairing but on a larger scale accident they will probably turn what would have been cosmetic damage into structural damage.
To quote the words of the late great Bobby Martin who most probably was Aust best authority on motorcycle frames. "We have never done so much frame straightening work since Oggy knobs became fashionable"
