Grunt probably about the same re bike wiring but you can also buy a bench flash unit now that requires no wiring to be placed on bike. As you have said options and functions now with flashing is second to non. The biggest prob for the layman is obtaining fuel readings and the only option is to fit a wide band set up such as an Innovate or a dyno .......... but thats a bit extreme to say the least as you could buy about three bikes for the same money
