Flashing can give you twice as many features at probably half the price. Most that are running PCV had them before flashing hit the floor or they don't have access to some one that does the ECU flash near their location. When I flash an ECU thru the mail I request still that a fuel run be otained as no one can guarantee perfection without having a fuel reading ........ hence as said why some still go the PCV way as some shops will not flash ................ maybe because they don't make enough money out of it or they simply don't wish to learn new ways ?
As a business I could / would make more money out of selling a PCV along with an XTRE than flashing and yet for my money flashing is the only way to go if other means (units) have not been purchased. This is simply based on the fact that I can give the customer far more for far less money so it's win win.
As for an argument ? I think debate may be more appropriate regards the for and against. Flashing does everything except make you a coffee in the morning but at the end of the day it's your bike your money and your call
