New RWC law

Just taken my new toy - thanks Rod - down to get a RWC to transfer it into my name. The guy says to me "I'm glad the bike is this tidy, as of Sept 1 we have to take photo's of all bikes we inspect"

Didn't hear about that 1 before!

Does that mean they will be applying some standard of visual quality to the RWC? If it looks like a busted arsed rat rod will they fail it, regardless of the actually quality of the vehicle? Could this be a slippery slope down towards all "customised" bikes/cars being failed or forced into some separate registration category? Worse still I fear it could be used by insurers. If you bike is not completely stock the insurer will claim it is a modified bike and refuse payment.
I fear this does not bode well for we much maligned riders.

Always keep your standard pipes.
