HID Electrics
#11
I've got one of the first products - a limited run from Iceman in the States. I tucked the ballast right next to the instrument cluster under the right inner fairing. It's actually secured onto the bike using the lower right hand bolt of the instrument cluster - it could not be any closer. No problem in 8 odd years, ever!

Attached a very basic on/off switch there too so the bike can be started with the HID off (biggest power drain is on start up). Can only suggests that you do the same, Pommie, and use a tickle charger.

Iceman also did a limited run of the meanest LED rear lights I've seen for the Gen 1 ever (got those at the same time). He really needs a kick to pursue doing those again.
Carpe Diem!
