You don't need to start the motor to diagnose the clutch lever thing...

Try this: (DON'T touch the start/crank button at all!!!)

Put clutch lever to setting 5 or 6, then with ignition on, pull in the lever with your ear close to the lever. You should hear a tick/click sound, which is the switch being activated.

Put clutch lever to setting 1 or 2, then with ignition on (again), pull in the lever with your ear close to the lever. If there is NO tick/click sound, that's the problem... (or "optional anti-theft security device" depending on your point of view) Very Happy
