I asume that you would use a flat bladed screw driver to lift the head of the pin up to release it, it that correct? Also I tried to view the post about removing the cowls but can't view the photos, is that just something with my computer or have they been removed?

The cowls are easy to remove once you have done it. The push pins on the cowl you use a flat blade driver as you said, but don't push in the centre to hard, just get under the pin slot and turn the blade round and the centre part of the pin will pop up so you can remove it. What I have done and most will tell you to grease all the pins on the cowl that go into the rubber grommets. By doing this it will help you to remove the cowl easy next time. I bought some rubber grease and used that. I read on this forum to left the fuel tank up so you can see the pin that is on the black piece that runs along side the fuel tank, that pin you have to lift up to remove from the rubber grommet. This one is the tricky one as all the others you pull out. with the fuel tank up you can see the pin on the black piece that way you want brake it off.

Thanks John
