Accurate milage & miles per gallon question....

Mate ,Their inaccurate from the factory, 8 to 10 % over . My Question is , If they can make them consistently over ,why can't they make them consistently accurate? If you get a Speedo healer & set it by a GPS you can get it pretty right .

Does using a speedo healer get the odometer more accurate?
My old R1's speedo was 7% out, but the odometer was only 4% out!

If I change the % setting on the healer it also changes the trip accuracy .Mine is set at minus 8.3 % & is pretty close according to a cop mate's radar gun .Trip meter can be checked byre tracing your exact route on google maps .
