Define and legitimise motorcycle filtering NSW
#2
Anyone know how this is going?

I remember years ago a leading Brit bike mag asked all of the area Police forces in Britain what their attitude was to lane filtering. Practically all the responses were surprisingly what we would want - they have better things to do, as long as it's being done safely, not at 70mph, most didn't even know it was illegal etc... but then the mag got hammered by all the other mags for highlighting the practice to every cop up and down land. Lol3

I've pittered pattered by cop cars in traffic queues at red lights (literally slower than walking pace until the light goes green), they've never seemed bothered in Sydney or the Blue Mountains.

Also got stopped for doing 100kph through the Woodford twisties after 11.00 at night. They followed me for the 2-3km and gave me a friendly warning because I slowed down once the twisties were over and they figured I was just having a bit of responsible fun on a bike built for it (only 20kph over). Stay polite and give yourself a chance...unless it's the highway cops - they can't stand anybody 98% of the time. Police
Carpe Diem!
