Stripped plastic threads - Air filter cover

Has anyone else stripped the plastic threads to their filter cover from removing it soo many times to clean their air-filter?

I had to go to hardware store to buy bigger screws cuz the other screws would just keep turning and turning when I tried to screw them in,
