Never been to a drag race in my life, so a couple of newbie questions:

1. What is the procedure for entering?

2. All the photos/videos I see make it look greasy/slippery (especially night shots) at the start area. Is it actually like that?

nope the greasy/slippery look is actually traction compound, really sticky, on a good track my wifes shoes almost stick to the track when she lines me up cos it's soo sticky.
