I'm interested what you like on the 'busa over the Gixxer ?
as I'm contemplating the opposite & keeping the 'busa for 2up, touring and cruising, and getting something smaller for scratching.

I went for the Busa because we are doing more 2 up riding now the kids are a bit older. I've only had the busa a few weeks but it has a better power delivery down low making it seem easier to ride. The GSXR1000 was much more nimble through the twisties but could be a bit brutal on the power delivery if you weren't focused. But it was an '03 GSXR so I expect they have improved since then. But I would have kept both if I could have!!
