A hate on for noisy petrol bicycles

I think Tex has had to have a few on his dyno to prove they were legal. He will know the actual power levels they can have.
I am pretty sure it has to have under a certain kw, I looked into 50cc scooters when I lost my licence, the road registered ones that barely pull 60kph are illegal for an unlicenced rider/driver. But the motorised pushys, scooters, skate boards and bar stools, that have no rego or adr compliance are legal, and also have no requirement to wear more than a pushbike helmet.
The system is backwards.
While it is fair to say I deserved to lose my licence (as well as a lot of other people who have) the implications to the rest of society are huge, I am now limited to how often and where I can work, if I can get a lift etc. I cant stay for overtime unless the guy I got a lift with gets overtime too. My kids cant get to sport or any other after school activity unless another parent can pick them up and drop them off. I can't even duck down to the shopping centre for stuff that runs out unexpectantly. And god forbid any actual emergency should happen and I was forced to drive as I would be charged and more than likely gaoled.
But if I could legaly ride a 50cc scooter, hell they could even have like a LAM's list of approved ones, I would happily get to and from work and contribute more to society.
