Maj has pretty well covered it. As for loading a generic map .................. you may as well not even bother as the chances of it being right are about as good as the tattslotto dream.
Is the fuel your thinking of using oxygenated ? In which case it will probably lean the A/F.
The higher octane will help prevent pre ignition but if your going to play a knock sensor may be a good investment.
Had a play with ignition timing on a salt racer the other day and found the best part about advancing a few degress was we could get the same power with a richer / safer A/F
Ideal for a motor thats going to be run at WOT for extended lengths of time.
