Yeah, I see your point. Things used to be easy in the good'ol days. So what would you suggest Peter for the home garage mechanic? Is dyno the only reliable course of action?

As it's certianly not practical nor viable for the home mechanic to go and spend 50K plus on a dyno there are some good alternatives available regards obtaining fuel readings. With the Gen II, flashing software enables data logging. The only downside at this time is that a laptop has to be carried but that is being worked on currently. Data loggers can be purchase from Innovate and the likes that provide wide band logging with full fuel read outs.
I've never seen a Busa yet that is running lean (unless it had a fuel supply problem) At the end of the day one does need a means of measuring A/F ratios ................... and then the interpretation of that data becomes just as important once it is obtained. Thanks for the suggestion Peter. I was thinking about getting a data logger just purely for the purpose of keeping things in check if not tinkering with it a bit Is there any particular brand you could reccomend? As to the interpretation of the data I am sure I can afford your services and hopefully will learn in the process as well. Can you please suggest a good setup?
