Using one for High Beam will shorten it's service life.
I am assuming you don't intend to ride around with High Beam on constantly as this would be likely to annoy the crap out of other road users and our friends in Blue.

It's done well over 50,000kms as High Beam already. When will it blow ?
Short warm up time is not an issue. Expense from running into a drunken cage driver during the day & slamming into a Roo at night is.
