So fitting HID is a greater power draw than standard is that right ??? Iwas gonna put a switch on the earth side of mine when it gets here anyway but be interesting to know

Only on startup I believe, once running they usually draw less current.
I fitted an electrical delay to mine - I think I set it to ~20 seconds. By then I'm on the bike and it's started before they kick in and draw power.
