Well I swapped out mine tonight and it started like a champ.
I was expecting to find broken teeth etc since it was making an awful cracking sound every now and then, but no, nothing - it looked mint. Hmm. I'll see how it goes. Hopefully it will charge and hold as it should otherwise I'll be doing further testing on the electricals.
