I hate to say this to you mate, but when it works it works. If she felt the same way, she would make it work. If she was willing to discuss it, then that would be one thing because it would mean it was something she felt strongly about and wanted to work on, but she doesn't. She is trying to let you down gently because she likes you and she is using this as an excuse. If she wanted to be with you, she wouldn't let anything stop her.
