When do we replace the cam chain? I've got a brand new one and the guides, but I don't fancy attempting that job myself (yet) and can never seem to get the dosh together to pay someone to do it - rego due now - with a 50% hike on the green slip! :(
Cam chain is fairly simple , rear guide done at the same time as the chain also not a real problem, the front guide is a head off job and gets expensive .
most complicated part of the cam chain replacement for the inexperianced is the bolt in the side of the head and the cams r&r
Turbo's have been on busa's now for 10 yrs, don't see the factory in any hurry to follow suit, there big chance was with the super charged b-king that never happened..
far as busa life goes one member here had his up to nearly 200,000kms but the bike was written off in an accident before he got there, haven't seen Cowboy post much in the last few yrs , one of the Queenslanders may know the story better
