Being used in short course off-road
Sucking dust and whatever else crap, on redline approx 80% of the time, between 1st and 3rd, and sometimes 4th (short sprints between corners)
Got two years of weekend abuse
out of a 99 with 18tho klms on it before transplant into buggy
Serviced every second event (2 hrs total drive time) Semi synthetic oil, filters etc
Total thrashing time @ redline, Approx 50hrs at a guess before the big end gave in
A 2008, 8 tho klms on clock before transplant, threw a rod after 2 years same treatment if not a little worse than first as is used in Long course off road events
( Higher constant speeds overall )
In a street bike ridden however you like, reckon they would last forever if serviced regularly
No possible way to abuse them like we do in an off-road environment
Hope that helps somehow
