Fuel Pump
#7
I assume from the avatar photo it's an '01 ?? external pump??
If so, Go back thru the old posts, there are 8 filters and strainers. Check and clean them all. All are easy execpt splitting that pump with the dodgy orings. If I can do it, anyone can.

I ended up chucking the internal filter and cutting out the internal screen out of the pump so I don't have to split it anymore, and I added an inline filter which is cheap and easy to replace. Bike is 11 years old, original pump still going fine.

Check these before you replace the pump.

screen on the outside of pump (undo phillipshead to reveal under vacuum thingy) my bet! (you can get to it without taking the pump out too!)
screen inside the pump
paper filter inside the pump (fckn expensive to replace)
screen in the tank
screen on each injector (x4) (have alway been clear for me)

If it's an internal pump then I know nuthin'
