Yeah Slong, I saw your pictures, but my shit makes your shit look clean. What year is your bike? I had heaps of black sticky slime more acquainted with truck axles. I took off about two thirds of a coffee mug full. Real yucky!
The screw that holds the gear shift lever onto the bike, snapped when I unscrewed it. I don't think the front sprocket area has ever seen the light of day since the bike first hit the road in 2000. One benefit is that I put the lever back on at a better angle. My shifts are sooo sweet now it's like having a new bike.
Volvi: There's a couple of parts out there - all over-priced if you're a machinist.
The guy in Germany is Kojak. I'll find his e.mail and post it. He's realiable, which is why I chose him over the U.S guys. I paid $46US plus postage - I just didn't want to have a milk bottle top on my bike. <i></i>
