Anyways, wasn't getting a lot of response so decided to bite the bullet and buy one via ebay. Australian Distributor = AUD $1150 plus $55 delivery
From Japan via Ebay = AUD $530 plus $72 delivery. No brainer
I'll put in a report on what I think of the jacket, though I hope to never have to put in a report on how well it activates and protects.

GP riders have to contend with great track conditions, grass and pebble run offs. We have to deal with everything from idiot cage drivers, power poles, post boxes, gutters, etc, etc. Need I continue?
Leather has great abrasion resistance, but what about impact resistance?
