i ride gen2 busas and joust with them all the time on real roads not sprayed tracks, and can confirm that a 14 is mostly quicker to 160, dead heat to 200, 220ish the busa is getting ahead. anyone who thinks the busa pulls massive bike lengths is deluded. 200-300 it will kill the 14. but thats another universe.

i'm big on 2nd gear 'punch for street and road' riding, and its here that the busa can't match the 14. thats why i'm interested in a full akra and a 10% drop in gearing on the gen2 busa, to get it stirring a bit in 2nd gear. as is it doesn't have the punch i require down low. puting it into first is too frenetic.

the gen2 busa also feels heavier, and is definitely more top heavy than the 14. 90% of my preferred riding roads the 14 is the quicker bike, by a substantial margain. the busa is still on my shopping list due to its grunt above 7grand, which will often have you exploding into your favourite corner uncomfortably. open sweepers and its is king shit.

if i put a thread like this on the busa forum they would all cry and shit their little pants.

hey i just came across this. i'm often on the 1400 forum and i know of this poster. his 14 is well modified and may even have a big bore and cams. you dont mention any of that. You've just taken a convenient quote, out of context - as most on the 14 site know of his bike's state of tune, and you've used it for your own questionable agenda.

not sure what trouble you're trying to stir up here but i can smell some smart arse in the house.

both bikes are fantastic and serve different purposes altogether. He did put a post on a busa forum, but it was a pommy forum and the whining was to be expected.

This bloke has a lot of mates on the 1400 forum and states openly that he fully respects the busa so i wouldn't push it too far mate, as you seem relatively fresh to both sites. you also don't mention the fact that this bloke is an extremely aggressive rider according to countless posts over the years and people who ride with him.

......WTF are you doing copying and pasting other peoples posts into other forums for anyway? get a life.

ride your own bike. make your own history.

have you read the post, I have been on the 1400 forum for about 1 year and I also said that I put this up here. His bike has a full Akra and has been dynoed, no cams no big bore kit, seems I know more about him than you, as for riding with lots of members he is known as the phantom and only one forum member has meet him. Jimmy loves to get people talking which is what this has done, subject closed.

get your hand out of your pants - you sound obsessed with him. if what you state is true, it also sounds like you're his latest victim Lol3
