I live at Buccan which is just out from Beenleigh and work at Rocklea. I decided to go home via Yamanto, then left out towards Boonah. From Boonah I headed back towards Beaudesert then back to Logan Village then home. This is a ride I have done a few times on the GSX1400 so it was good to compare. The Busa is so much more stable at speed and so much more stable thru the corners than the 14, but the 14 is more comfortable to sit on for that distance. The 1400 was a great bike but no where near as refined and smooth as the Busa. I have helibars fitted but would still like to be a bit more upright, are there other types of bars that are higher. I have also heard about a plate to riase the height of the bars. Other than trying to get the bars a little higher and maybe back a little I am very happy with her Smitten

GSX14 is a wicked bike mate seriously considered it before buying my busa. VERY nearly bought one but wasn't ready to give up sportsbike handling and cover.

Higher bars you can get are converti-bars. They can be adjusted to ridiculously high levels, and back down again. So you can ride the bike in comfort on your way to the spurs, then pull over, lower them, and ride aggressive. For really high up bars you'll need longer brake and clutch lines, and there is also windscreen clearance issues.

Another trick is to add a "genmar" block riser beneath the handlebar clamp, in addition to the helis. The yanks over at the ORG confirm there is enough reach in both the clutch and brake lines with this modification and a little fiddling. It does touch the windshield lightly though.

If you end up selling the helibars please lemme know, I'm hunting a pair for a good price.

thanks for the info, where do you get the genmar block risers from. I was thinking if I got a riser I could use the helibars as well but rotate them back for clearance and it would also get the bars sitting a bit further back, sounds like a win win if its works, Steve.
