Subject is interesting my first battery K8 busa lasted 5 months approx. Battery was not dead just had reduced terminal voltage and reduced discharge AH. Bike used mostly for commute to work 70KM return. If bike is started hot after a refuel stop sometimes just starts like the battery is failing. With motor running charging volts 13.8 which is ok. If I do a long run don't notice the same problem for starting at a refuel stop. I was crappy the Yasha battery did not last and brought the cheapest battery on net and it is still in use.
Believe 35 km commute freeway city ride is not adequate to maintain good battery life. Have a good trickle charger and intended to set up for overnight charging but have not bothered as battery is managing.
I believe charging system is ok but need a good run with some revs to recharge battery and my work commute is marginal to replace starting power used. To have good battery life believe additional charging is necessary. Hope this make sense.
