Gruntmax: I've only vaguely picked up on your situation recently, so have missed all the detail. One of my realities is that people (generally) hate motorcyclist, which isn't helped by the wheelies, speeding hoons, speeding traffic filterers (Guilty) and bikie gangs.
I've never known of a bike accident where the attributed blame hasn't started with the rider. I've known of bikers waking up in hospital from no fault accidents, only to find that they have been out for so long that all concerned have already decided it was their fault - even to the extent of the insurance company paying out.
Fastcat, on the org board, had her racksack drop and entangle onto her rear axle while going along at the speed limit. Her mates were horrifed to hear ambulance and Police concluding she was speeding and riding recklessly even as she laid on the tarmac at death's door.
Looking at the damage to the car in your picture, I have no doubt they considered that despite her turning into your path, you were going too quickly. They'll decide that because no one could concieve that a bike could cause that much damage if it's at the speed limit. I'm not saying it won't - I have no idea what damage a bike will cause on a car, but more to the point neither do they! It's a bike and the biker is always at fault unless he's awake to argue differently and has 1000 witnesses.
I'd be furious as well, but I'll bet you were shafted by more people than just Carr's Government.
