Gen 1 '99 Recalls

I have 2 recalls on my '99 which were both for the can chain as was mentioned was the case above.
I just checked my alloy sub-frame a month ago with a Snap On LED Stethoscope light & magnifier & found no cracks or blemishes in any way despite me doing 3,500km with a pillion & a Ventura rack on it that weighed ~20kgs. We went over some rough roads too including ~200km dirt.
Around 40% of my riding is with a pillion. I also have a 4 into 1. On that note though the sub frame was apparently replaced before I bought the bike off Achilles, (he used to be on this forum) but it was replaced with an alloy one. Were all the alloy units the same or were later variants strengthened? I was amazed mine is fracture free. It seems as strong as Ox as I have given it heaps.

Thats what though & I had a couple of braces on it then Bang it let go with no warning into Jindy one year, then I was Heidi bitch for a day
