Hiya,
I believe the std speedo/gearing is 7% fast, ie speedo shows 100kph - actual speed 93kph.
I replaced my 17 tooth front with a 16, this made the speedo 15% fast. I'm GUESSING with a 42 on the rear the speedo will be 18% fast.
To get an accurate reading I attached a GPS to the bike and went for a ride down the freeway - the % of difference will be the same through the speed range.
Simply run through the set up procedure on the healer - with the ignition on and the back wheel off the ground, spin the wheel, a red light should flash on the healer box. This means it's hooked up ok.
I reckon you need a -18.0 setting for an accurate speedo!
Cheers
