Just a brief update on this event.
The police advised today that the driver of the 4x4 has been sent an infringement notice.
This means I don't lose excess or no claim bonus level.
My insurance assessor is happy to proceed with repairs due to the quality of photographs provided by the bike shop that did the assessment of damage.
Bike damage for parts and labour came to $4,900.00 and the replacement helmet is valued at $425.
I am back in fully fit condition and off all meds so now I just have to wait for new parts to turn up and be fitted..
I could ride the bike if I need to but it looks shithouse so I'll just go cruisin to keep the battery charged for a while.
