The bike was brought "as is" at the auctions .................. Troy I believe has no obligation to the new buyer (keys, manuals or otherwise)
The new purchaser is not his mate .............. just a bloke that chose to buy a cheapy from the auctions.
As allready suggested I think also if the man was not happy with the deal the gentlemanly thing to do would have been a simple phone call ?

On another note there was actually a scam going down in a well known auction house in Melb where the staff where pinching keys after the sale of vehicle then contacting the buyers at a later stage offering to sell them to them.
