I agree cheeky, P platers should not be allowed to drive fords..
They should start in holdens, something without any balls to it. And with the constant break downs, they should find out rather quickly how to check things that I am sure no one has shown them how to check before.
Seriously though, how many new drivers know how/where to check things on cars? Oil, coolant etc etc...even tyre pressure. My brother in law in nearly 19, has his own car, drives on the highways out here, and I had to show him not long ago how to change a flat tyre. He didn't know where the oil dipstick was. He didn't know what pressure to put in the tyres. His mother never fueled a car in her life, and she has been driving 25 odd years to my knowledge...
And their should be a test to be able to tow a bloody trailer...
I'm glad I never got tied up in all this crap that young people have to go through. I would really like to see a defencive driving course made compulsory to get a licence though. I have done a few, and think they would be very valuable to young drivers, or any driver for that matter.
