Graham, keeping ur Gen1 & getting a Gen11 is the best of both "Busa worlds!.
I have done many miles on both, definetly piss the stock exhausts off, the rear shock is the same as Gen1 and will perform ok under normal conditions. I felt the Gen11 was more firmly planted when pushed hard, it is much smoother, it's riding position felt better and doing 1500klm day's was a little easier than on the Gen1. Yes, the Dash is a shitload better, the brakes are only marginally better, but are still shit. Jen reckon's the Gen1 is far more comfortable as a pillion but then she say's the Gen11 definetly pulled harder in 3rd gear ( preferred gear choice when playing in tight twisties or overtaking Semi's or Road Trains!!!). There is endless aftermarket setup's for both. Would I buy another Gen11? maybe further down the track! Will I ever get rid of my Gen1? NO!
So there u go mate, U would be no closer to making an informed decision
