I just moved from a Gen 1 to Gen 2, first thing that hits you is the smoothness of the new motor compared to Gen1
Day to day ride it's better controlled - didn't find much difference in brakes (you will feel they are bit spongy if you are going fron Galfers or Braketech to standard brakes)
it's Ecu is reflashable - we have all kinds of mods discussed on this board and mine is stock.
And yes it's raises the front wheel better then gen1.
