Couldn't have said it better myself.
About the 954 - A mate of mine bought an 08' blade, and after previously owning a 954 like you, and he said the riding/seating position is very similar between the two, meaning the 04-07 is horribly aggressive and uncomfortable.
And a word on build quality, I did own a GSX-R 1000, an 03' model. The build quality on that was fantastic. Compared to the blade it was a tank. I made the mistake of misjudging a puddle in the Byron Bay area once (summer storms) and rode through a small lake up to my calves. The engine shuddered a bit and then just drove on as if nothing had happened. There were twigs in the f*&^ing radiator - TWIGS!!
Changed my view of Suzuki build quality after that!
