Years ago I saw a fully counterweighted, offset ground VW crank. The owner had to use different rods because the big end journals were smaller after the machining. If you're using your stock rods, how'd you get around the reduced size journal problem: Built up with weld before machining??
And what displacement will you end up with with an extra 5mm of stroke? (Is it 5mm total stroke or 5mm offset ground?)
