Hi Max,
Yes, I have been away for a few years but I thought that this was as good a topic as any to re-enter the fold.
I needed some time away after Ron, Dirbags and Rocket left us. Some perspective perhaps. Also looks like some of the spanners that gave me the s#its have moved on to somwhere else, so that is a good thing![Pi_thumbsup Pi_thumbsup](https://www.australian-hayabusa-club.com/MyBB/images/smilies/pi_thumbsup.gif)
Thanks for your feedback on the bike. And I just noticed that with my handle change, you are now my nemisis!!![Lol3 Lol3](https://www.australian-hayabusa-club.com/MyBB/images/smilies/lol3.gif)
Hi Pete,
Yes she is in Kindergarten now and will be in school soon. We also have another little girl who is 16 months. Both are fit and healthy and the apple of my eye. How is your lad? He must be well and truely driving by now?
Now I should warn you to take care reading my reply as I know that you Queenslanders have a little trouble reading at speed and I wouldn't want you to strain yourself.![Roll Roll](https://www.australian-hayabusa-club.com/MyBB/images/smilies/roll.gif)
As for the Busa, I loved it but I couldn't stop myself from punching warp factor every time I had a chance. The Busa just wanted to fly! (what a great bike sigh...) The Max is insane but anything over 130/140 is not very comfortable. Which seems to suit me fine. So I am just happy belting around the hills leaving black lines. It's a hoot! Thanks for the well wishes.
Hi Camel,
Please don't get me wrong, the intake system works very well in allowing the power to be very progressive. The majority of owners will not modify their bikes because it is actually quite clever. For example, the best way to launch a standard '09 vmax on the strip is at about 2000-2500rpm. As the tree turns green, dump the clutch and go WOT and the computer and intakes take care of the rest. This has been the big problem on the strip. Too many people have tried to launch at higher rpm which is when the intakes are raised and then you have no hope in getting traction. Personally I want that power to be available at any time. I wanted a more raw, hotrod feel. Which is what we have acheived.
I put some pics below so you can see the intake/velocity stack mod.
