You can get the oil filter tool from most places and it is fairly cheap. Mine cost me all of $12 when I got it.
For a semi synthetic, I run Motul 5100 4T Technosynthese. I have had a good run out of it. I have done all my services all the way to 60000km and have used this oil. When they did the service the shop put in silkolene - I dont like it as I have had a few false neutrals between 5th and 6th with it, whereas with the motul I did not.
My motor is "run in" and sounds a lot better than most Hayabusas out there, which are usually zingy.
