new or second hand?

hi guys and girls my name is mark and i am a long time reader first time poster lol.i really enjoy this site for the info and insight on these bikes as i am looking at getting my first busa very soon.i am a bit up in the air about a gen 1 or 2.im not after peoples personal preferences of bike as i know everyone loves what they have,im more after peoples personal experiences with buying second hand regarding any problems they have had with said bikes after purchase.im a big fan of the 02 blue and black and i have my eye on one it has 35000 ks with a bit of work done to the engine,just after peoples opinions.or should i just buy brand new???that is the question i am asking myself,any opinions would be gratly appreciated,chees mark(i wil do a proper intro once bike is purchased)

Welcome Mark. Generally the Gen 1 and 2 bikes are bullet-proof. That blue/black with the engine mods though.... I wouldn't touch it unless you are very mechanically minded and you know exactly what he's done to the bike. I sent him a question (just tyre-kicking) and he never replied!
