Throttle Stop/Cruise Control.

Don't know if anyone has put this up on here before but this is one I did on my Gen 2 busa. Gives all the measurments for use with the standard throttle tube. May help a few.

The first pic shows all the stuff neccessary to do it. Unscrew your bar end off the bars and it will already be pre drilled 6.3mm, the correct size for a 6mm x 1mm heli coil to be tapped and fitted inside it which is what the thread in the end of your bars will be.

Then machine up a bush 30mm OD x 25.2mm ID x 7mm wide.

You can buy a phillips head 6mm x 75mm long off the shelf screw threaded the whole lenght which is the correct lenght you will need with a 7mm wide bush. The bush has to be 7mm wide.

The bush then sits over the throttle tube and pushes against the shoulder of the tube which the grip clips over as shown in pic 2 with the rubber grip peeled back to show it.

Then simply screw the bolt in the bar end and into the end of the handle bars all the way and tighten it up firmly.

The bar end will then screw in and out on the heli coil to give resistance on the throttle to where ever you like it so as you don't have to try and hold it as firm or nip it up a little more and let your hand off the throttle all together.

You can still shut the throttle off in an emergency no problems with full resistance. Very important. Very Happy

Then simply screw the bar end back out again for normal throttle operation.

The bottom pic shows it all fitted up.

It's simple stuff and combined with a set of heli-bars makes long hauls so much nicer. Pi_thumbsup
