Battery Issue
#1
G'day Guys,

I own a 09 model with a Scorpio i900 alarm fitted onto it by the dealership, when I bought the bike.

The the issue I have been facing is that the battery discharges pretty quickly and has eventually died a few times, this issue isn't just getting resolved.

I had put my bike in for a check through to ascertain the probable cause of the issue, but I was told there is nothing wrong with the bike and that the battery was charging fine and there were no issues with the alternator, which might have been an area of concern.the only reason I was told was that the Scorpio i900 alarm was draining my battery and that was the culprit.

I even had a word with Suzuki's head of service and he had to say the same thing, and added that I should run my bike for at least 40 mins a day on a traffic signal free road with very less traffic (maybe Suzuki should construct one with no red lights and no traffic in Sydney so I can charge my bike), to return a positive charge into the battery.

For now I have disconnected the alarm and put my bike on a trickle charger every now and then so that I dont run into trouble starting it in the middle of some place.

I just wanted to know if anyone has faced a similar problem with or without the Scorpio alarm? If yes, have you managed to fix the issue?

Sorry for such a long story

Cheers
