a few scratches on the other.
I rode down to Sydney on Friday and decided to visit some friends in Batemans Bay so headed south on Saturday. As it was only a short ride I took the opportunity for some sight seeing and detoured over the Macquarie Pass and then back to the Princess Highway via Kangaroo Valley. I followed several cars down the mountain to Fitzroy Falls and nearing the bottom I overtook two cars, we were all travelling at approximately 80 kph. I had to brake hard to slow down enough to pull in behind the next car and as I did so the bike suddenly slipped from under me and skidded on the right hand side faring into the bushes on the side of the road. I also slid for several meters on my arse watching the front wheel of the car I had just overtaken spinning next to my head, fortunately I was wearing a full set of leathers and as a consequence only bruised the tip of my finger. Although I saw nothing I assume I must of hit a patch of gravel on the road, I can think of no other reason for the loss of control.
